Reverse Bucket List: saying NO makes room for Joy. 🛑 Plus register now for The Embodied NO somatic workshop, July 9 🚫❤️
Stephanie Draus | JUL 8
Today I've been thinking about my Reverse Bucket List. This simple concept seems more relevant with each passing year. Here's how it goes: considering that none of us lives forever, and that we don't know exactly when the end will come...can you name some things that you would like never to do again?
Often what shows up on the Reverse Bucket List are petty things that we've done for years, and that we continue doing because...well, we've always done them, and somehow we think that we ought to continue doing them. Or perhaps it's something that everyone around you does, so you do it, too. If you knew you had only a year left to live, what events would you choose to skip? What chores would you leave undone?
It sounds morbid, but the end result is quite joyful.
The truth is that every item on your Reverse Bucket List takes up time and energy. If you stop doing those things, you will have more time and energy for the things that bring you joy and that truly matter to you.
Doesn't this give you a perfect reason to use your NO?

If you could use some practice saying No, or would like to get better at saying No from a place of joy and power, please join me this Thursday, July 9, for an online, small-group workshop. Keep scrolling for details.
It's time to get comfortable with saying No.
Many of us have learned that the only answer the world will accept from us is Yes.
We know we need to set better boundaries, but saying NO may not feel safe.
In this workshop, we will practice feeling NO in our bodies, saying it to each other, and shouting it to the world. We will find the strength and joy of a full-bodied and honest No.
🚫Because without a clear sense of NO, we can never step in to a full-bodied YES. ❤️
This small-group session is open to people of all genders, age 15 and older.
This is an online workshop, you can join from anywhere!
Come as you are; you do not need to be fit or flexible to participate. The session will be shaped for the people in the (virtual) room.
Thursday, July 9, 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET
$50
