Grief, Love, & Rest is a 4-week online series using gentle movement, rest practice, and community support to provide a cushion for all of us who feel grief rising as the holidays approach.
Every session will begin with movement, followed by time to share with and support each other. Each session will end with a guided rest practice (Yoga Nidra).
Group is capped at 8 people per session, to ensure that everyone has time to be heard.
Registration includes a recorded Yoga Nidra session for at-home rest practice.
Dr. Stephanie Draus is a naturopathic physician, yoga teacher, and trauma & grief support specialist. She has trained in grief support with Megan Devine, Paul Denniston, and Kate Truitt.
$180 for the series.
FAQ:
Is this group therapy? No, this is a supportive community session. While groups will be moderated by Dr. Stephanie, it is recommended that you work with your own therapist and/or grief counselor on a regular basis.
What kind of movement will we practice? Dr. Stephanie is a Grief Movement Guide, trained by Paul Denniston. Grief Movement uses gentle, simple movement derived from yoga & other somatic practices, to help our bodies express and process the many emotional facets of grief.
What is Yoga Nidra? Yoga Nidra is a guided rest practice, allowing participants to release exhaustion on the mental, physical, and emotional levels. If you'd like to try it out, here is a good example of the kind of practice we will use in this session (hosted on the free Insight Timer app).
Need a break? Join me for this special rest practice. Live, online, and open to all. Rest in the comfort of your own home, and with the guidance of Dr. Stephanie.
